1. Who we are

Ajokiilto is a car advertising and driver operations service operating in the Helsinki capital region, including Helsinki, Espoo, and Vantaa.

2. Information we collect

When you apply or use our driver application, we may collect:

• Name, phone number, email address, and application details.
• Vehicle information such as plate number, car model, colour, and operating area.
• Uploaded photos, including car photos, sticker/campaign photos, profile photos, and bug report screenshots.
• Device and app information needed for support, notifications, and tracking reliability.
• Location data and route data during active driver sessions.
• Session data, kilometres, timestamps, driver status, and campaign performance data.
• Notification responses and support/bug reports submitted through the app.

3. Location data

The Ajokiilto Driver app uses location data to track active driver sessions, calculate route distance, verify campaign coverage, and show live driver status to the Ajokiilto admin team.

Location tracking is used only when a driver starts an active session in the app. The app may continue collecting location in the background during an active session so that route tracking remains reliable while the driver uses other apps or the phone screen is locked.

Drivers can stop tracking by ending the active session in the app.

4. How we use your information

We use collected information to:

• Review and manage driver applications.
• Create and manage approved driver accounts.
• Verify vehicle suitability and campaign participation.
• Operate live tracking, route history, campaign reporting, payments, and quality checks.
• Send operational notifications and required campaign instructions.
• Investigate bugs, support requests, or tracking issues.
• Protect the platform from abuse, fraud, or unauthorized access.

5. Legal basis

We process data because it is necessary for driver application review, driver account management, campaign operations, contractual performance, legitimate business operations, safety, and platform security.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. Data may be accessed by Ajokiilto administrators and trusted technical service providers needed to operate the website, hosting, database, notifications, and driver app.

Campaign reports shared with clients should use only the information needed to verify campaign performance and should not include unnecessary personal details.

7. Data storage and retention

Application data, driver data, uploaded images, route data, and operational logs are stored on Ajokiilto systems and hosting infrastructure. We keep data only as long as needed for application review, campaign operations, payment review, legal, security, and business record purposes.

Rejected or inactive application data may be deleted or archived when it is no longer needed.

8. Photos and uploads

Uploaded images are used for application review, campaign verification, sticker quality checks, profile updates, and support. Drivers should not upload unrelated personal images or images containing unnecessary third-party information.

9. Notifications

We may send push notifications or in-app messages for campaign instructions, sticker checks, driver updates, operational alerts, and required responses.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including access controls, server-side validation, upload restrictions, and administrator-only access to operational dashboards. No system is completely secure, so users should report suspected security issues immediately.

11. Your rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy of your personal data. You may also object to certain processing where legally available.
